Dellwood Ave Rain Garden Build
This suburban residential lot project is focused on rainwater harvesting via tanks, rain gardens and infiltration swales. Gutter downspouts are diverted to tanks totaling 2000 gallons of storage. Tank overflows were then diverted into newly created rain gardens, one in an area that used to be lawn, the second in a removed section of hardscape concrete. This allows water to passively infiltrate and grow abundant native edible and medicinal plants. Project also includes shade producing infrastructure which provides shade, shelter and beauty for these happy clients.
